President Dr Ernest Bai Koroma has said that the newly appointed Vice President of the Republic of Sierra Leone Ambassador Victor Bockarie Foh is coming in with a wealth of experience having served as Senior District Officer almost in all districts nationwide.
The president highlighted the qualities of Vice President Foh and noted that he will be bringing a lot of experience to the table.
He called on the new VP to add value to ongoing efforts of government to getting to zero in the fight against Ebola. He noted that after the end of the epidemic government will move on to the socio-economic recovery path to restore livelihoods and promote sustainable development of the country.
"I feel very happy that you are now coming in as VP, a position you opted for in 1996 without success. But today I want to congratulate you on behalf of government on this appointment. I pray that you live up to expectations," President Koroma said.
In his acceptance speech, Vice-President Ambassador Victor Bockarie Foh called for national cohesion and said that the position is for all Sierra Leoneans. He urged the people of the South East to accept his appointment as theirs.
